The Library

A room without books is like a body without a soul.
— Marcus Tullius Cicero

From the moment we sealed the doorway in the living room we knew we were going to change the front room into a library.

This should be a significantly less ambitious project than the living room and dining room project.

A set of LED can lights were added to provide light (with a second set of switchable outlets to be used for lamps).

The entrance to the library is gained a pair of pocket doors with plenty of glass to keep the open feeling of the room, but allow someone to “escape” to the library if they want. Two of the walls were turned into bookcases. One wall will get cabinets with a small work area for a computer.
